Activision Multiplayer Servers Affected By Hurricane Sandy

Activision’s Call of Duty and Guitar Hero servers are seriously affected, thanks to Hurricane Sandy. Certain Activision servers have been negatively affected by the storm causing some servers to shut down.

“Due to the hurricane that affected the East Coast of the United States,” explained multiplayer gaming with some of our online title is experiencing connectivity issues. We appreciate your patience.”

“Activision is working on restoring full functionality as soon as possible, but I don’t know when that will be. Your patience while they deal with the storm’s effects is appreciated.”

Currently all version of Call of Duty: World at War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on the PlayStation 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops on PlayStation 3, PC, and Wii, and all of the Guitar Hero games are experiencing online problems.
