The new installment in Devil May Cry franchise has been getting a lot of hatred from the gaming community, and many gamers are already predicting that the game will face poor scores, and will eventually fail. Developer Tameem Antoniades was recently interviewed about the game. He responded to a fan who said that that it’s actually difficult for the game to sell that good.
“Usually the worst creative crimes are made when you’re trying to make a game for someone else – some perceived demographic that, in all likelihood, doesn’t actually exist.”
He also said that the only way to make a game successful is to make a game that only developers can play.
“So from that point of view I don’t care if it sells a thousand units or two million units.”
This statement clearly shows that the devs are making the game for themselves rather than fans, and don’t care if the fans like it or not.
