Doom 3: BFG Edition Releasing on October 16th

The revamped version of id Software’s shooter, expansion, and new content is coming to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 16th, later this year. Doom 3: BFG Edition will be available to purchase for $40 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and for $30 on PC.

The BFG Edition will come with remastered version of Doom 3, it’s DLC named Resurrection of Evil. And The Lost Mission, a new seven mission pack. BFG Edition will also come with Doom and Doom II. Doom III is known as primogenitors, and in this new BFG Edition all the expansions, and the game will receive an overall graphic haul with new lightning, 5.1 surround sound and achievements and trophies for the respective consoles.

The BFG Edition will also have some new gameplay refinements. Players will now have mounted armor flashlights that will allow player to use their weapons while exploring the dark corners of Doom III, since in the original game you had to shift between the flashlight and weapon while exploring, and then there’s a new checkpoint system.

Doom III was released in 2004, and made people drop their jaws. Also known as one of the best game made, it quickly rose to fame and became a classic hit. For those who missed the original game, this is a great chance to relive all the epic moments.
