Free Portal 2 Level Editor Coming on May 8

Valve’s highly acclaimed FPS puzzle game will be getting a puzzle editor for PC and Mac on May 8th. The editor will be coming for free as a part of Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC. With this puzzle editor, the players will get the chance to create and play their own levels, and even share them on Steam workshop where other players can browse through their creations, vote for them and even try them out.

There was no announcement for releasing the DLC on Xbox 360, or PS3. However, the PS3 version of Portal 2 supports Steam, but there’s no mention of Steam workshop. Xbox 360 version of Portal 2 has no integration with Steam.

The Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC is the second batch of postrelease add-on content for Portal 2. It follows 2011′s free Peer Review content, which hit all platforms on October 4.
