Google Introduces The Nexus 7 Tablet

Google unveiled its new tablet running Android OS 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and is available for pre-orders  now. A 7-inch tablet weighs only 340 grams, the device offers battery life of upto 9 hours on video playback and 300 hours on standby. The device is superthin, light and portable, said Hugo Barra, director of product management for Android during a speech at the Google I/O conference being held in San Francisco.

Nexus 7 Tablet has a screen resolution of 1280×800(216 ppi), a front 1.2 MP camera, scratch resistant cornering gorilla glass. The device has a Tegra 3 chipset with four ARM CPUs and 12 graphics cores. With the processing power and high screen display the new tablet is designed to watch videos, read magazines and play HD games. Barra Said:

The tablet will be shipping in about 2-3 weeks and will run you $199 for the 8 GB model and $249.99 for the 16 GB model.
