
News of the upcoming major project of Microsoft, the Surface Tablets, has just been announced by the Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer in a press event in L.A. Microsoft Surface tablet will be Intel-based, which will be capable of running Windows 8 Pro.
Microsoft surface tablet will have a 3.0 USB support, weighting 1.9lbs and thickness of 13.5mm. This version will contain storage space either of 64GB or 128GB. The display will be 10.6-inch full HD, and foremost, the Surface tablet will contain digital ink support via a pen that magnetizes to the tablet.
The hardware of Microsoft surface will comprise of two options. One will be powered by ARM chipset and Windows RT, while the other one will be powered by 22nm Ivy Bridge chips of Intel.
Surface tablet will be available shortly through Microsoft outlets and retail store. The prices of these tablets have not disclosed yet by Microsoft, but it is expected that Surface tablets will be according to the price of other competitive ARM tablets or Intel ultra book-class PC.
