Microsoft has recently launched a list of the names it will give to the Windows 8. The Windows 8 will be sold according to names Microsoft has given. According to Microsoft, there are four editions of Windows 8. The first three are Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows 8 Enterprise. These three will be exclusively for Personal Computers and tablets users who will have the x86/64 processors.
These three editions will be on sale. Whereas the fourth edition, which is named as the Windows RT (RunTime) will be ship built only into those devices which will be supporting the ARM platform. The Windows 8 edition will have features like the update version Windows Explorer, advance multi-manager support, Task Manager, and command on changing languages. The users will also have the chance to upgrade to OS from Windows 7 Starter and Home Premium.
The Windows 8 Pro version will acquire most of the Windows 8 feature and additionally it will have encryption, virtualization, domain connectivity and PC management. In this OS will be upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional. And likewise, Windows 8 Enterprise will get the features from Pro and also get features of advanced security, IT organization, virtualization, new mobility scenarios and a lot more.
Windows RT will come with Touch optimize version of the built-in Microsoft Office. However unlike the other three editions, this RT edition will not allow the users to install applications on desktop other than the Metro apps that will be available in the Windows market. It will not have the built-in Windows Media Player, except for the device encryption.
