Naughty Dog Reveals New Look for Ellie, from The Last of Us.

Naughty Dog has revealed the new look for Ellie, one of the main character of the upcoming PlayStation 3 Exclusive title “The Last of Us”. This time Naughty Dog decided to give Ellie a more “youthful look”. Many fans prefer the older, more maturer Ellie. Naughty Dog has also revealed some images showing the difference between the new and old Ellie.

    She’s a 14-yo girl, not a typecast snarky young adult woman. I think the change is for good.

    I’m not sure why they really decided to change “Ellie’s” image, well, other then the fact there was a claim that her character looked similar to that of actress Ellen Page; which, in my opinion, I find very attractive. None the less, I feel that was the only “legit” reason they decided to change her image – as in, the character in this game. There really were not that many noticeable changes made to her character – she just looks maybe 3 years younger. I only recognized that her face looks a tad smaller (shorter), her hair lighter, her eyes are slightly larger (more “open”), she now has a more narrow jaw-line & maybe added some thickness to her cheeks – but, all in all, this was simply changed to make her look more youthful – there wasn’t much of a dramatic change. They should have just kept her the way she was! I think this was done to simply avoid a lawsuit (as in, Ellen Page suing for her image being used in this game without her consent)!
