A member of the Nokia’s board of directors, Risto Siilasmaa, said in a TV show recently that if the new Windows Phone 8 fails, the company will take Android as a back-up. He further said that Windows Phone 8 has been working quite impressively and there would probably no need to switch to Android as a back-up, as Microsoft and Nokia are partners for a long time and less bugs have affected their ways so far.
But on the other hand the interview of Risto Siilasmaa was said to be wrongly interpreted, as the Chairman of Nokia corrected when asked what is the company’s back-up plan, he said that there will be alternatives but that is not what they’re focusing these days.
