The people at Gamemarshal speculated about the upcoming Grand Theft Auto V release date. According to them, Grand Theft Auto V will be released this October or November. Gamemarshal considering and calculating all the release dates of Grand Theft Auto titles starting from GTA III and finding the exact date on which each game was first announced (official press release/trailer/screenshot/interview), they calculated how many days passed until it was released in North America. Here is what they discovered.
Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto IV took just about a year between the official confirmation and the actual release. However, the DLCs and expansions took a short period of time. So, what does that mean for GTA V? Well, 291 days have already passed since the release of the trailer when the game was officially confirmed by Rockstar. A release date between October 1 – November 25th 2012, would put GTA V’s cycle anywhere between 343 – 398 days, well inline with the other major titles in the franchise and Rockstar’s development cycle. Any delays beyond that, and we are looking closer at a 500 day cycle, which would be a first in the history of the franchise. There you have it, based on our findings above, we predict that GTA V will be released this year and just in time for the holidays.
Grand Theft Auto V is an upcoming open world action-adventure video game being developed by games developer Rockstar North in the United Kingdom and published by Rockstar Games. The game will be the first major title in the Grand Theft Auto series since Grand Theft Auto IV (2008), which started the fourth “era” in the series. The fifteenth game in the series overall, GTA V is to be set in fictional Los Santos in the state of San Andreas and its surrounding areas, based on modern-day Los Angeles and Southern California. A rendition of Los Santos was previously featured as one of three cities in 2004′s Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, from the series’s third era.
