Future is looking desolate for GSC Game developers, the Ukrainian developer who’s behind the success of PC postapocalyptic shooter series S.T.A.L.K,E.R. This Friday, a rumor sparked up that the founder of GSC and CEO Sergei Grigorovich has decided to shut down the studios due to some personal issues.
Later, that news was declared as false on twitter, later that post denying the closure of the studios was taken off. However, yesterday, an official announcement was made, saying that “We’ll do our best to continue. However, at this moment, nothing is certain”
S.T.A.L.K.E.R games are focused around Chernobyl, which underwent nuclear explosions and now is radiated red zone. The first game was narrating a second fall of nuclear dose, leaving behind hideous mutated monsters. GSC released two follow-ups to the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R and the full sequel was announced last year with expected release in 2012
