How Not To Suck At Max Payne 3

Max Payne 3 is not an easy game. At least from what I have witnessed. For those who played Max Payne 2, it had the similar difficulty curve and many people were uncomfortable with that. Max Payne 3 comes back with the iconic bullet time, but it doesn’t make you empowering. It serves as a helping tool and works without any problem, but that doesn’t mean that a player can completely rely on it, unless of course he/she wants to get killed by showing off the cool moves that can be pulled off using bullet time. This means that you need to be careful while playing the game or you’ll end up seeing “you’re dead” screen. Here’s a small article that can help you overcoming the difficulties a normal gamer can face in Max Payne 3.

In Max Payne 3, accuracy holds a crucial importance. No matter if you’re using bullet time or not. Having good accuracy is a must. It’s always better to wipe out the whole room full of enemies using headshots only. And if you’re not good with accuracy, things can get pretty messy for you. So remember, before going Rambo on everyone, double check if you can accurately hit someone in the head.

For those who say that bullet time in Max Payne 3 is just a gimmick, they’re wrong. It’s certainly not a gimmick, it’s actually a pretty useful thing in the game and can help save your life. But it’s certainly not free. When active, it drains very quickly. So before activating it, make sure you start killing. And yes, aim for the head. It saves the time and gives you more time window so you can kill more bad guys while you’re in the bullet time.

Save the painkillers you get, they’re highly useful. When with low health, use them and make sure that your health is more than 50 percent all the time. Since bullets can do enormous damage in Max Payne 3, well they SHOULD do enormous damage. So, don’t waste your meds, only use them when you actually need them.

Make sure to time your lunges perfectly. Never jump in the room full of enemies directly, you’ll simply die. Since lunging in Max Payne 3 automatically triggers bullet time, make sure whenever you lunge out of the cover or make a surprise lunge you know where your enemies are standing and also make sure that every shot you fire hits the enemy. This way you’ll be able to clear the whole room without a problem.

While playing Max Payne 3, your health will automatically regenerate when you’re behind cover. But be aware of the enemy AI. It can be deadly. While you’re in cover, enemies will try to flank you and sometimes even toss grenades at you to flush out of the cover. While all this is not that easy, but you can always outgun them if you use the cover properly.

While Max Payne 3 is not as difficult as Dark Souls, but heady gameplay will frequently get you killed. Considering the given suggestions won’t exactly make you indestructible in the game, but at least it won’t get you killed every time you try to enter a room and kill every bad guy you see.
