Chillingo Ltd. recently launched their game The Act for iOS. The game is available on App Store for $2.99 though they have provided the game for one dollar in the beginning. The game looks pretty old fashion and amazingly, it falls into the comedy category, which we hardly see into gaming.
The game circles around a guy name Edgar who works in a hospital as a window washer and falls in love with one of the nurses. The mission of the game is basically to help Edgar to get his dream girl and try to save Edgar and his brother’s job, who works with him and always gets into trouble. The players have to control Edgar by swiping their finger from left to right across the screen. The game consists of a number of different scenes, which obviously do not make you roll on floor with laughter but it gets amusing quite a lot of time.
The animations used in this game resemble a lot to the Disney’s old characters, as many of the animators were from Disney. The game runs with 2D and the graphics are pretty good. Overall, The Act is a unique, short and amusing piece of fun that iOS users can get access to, though it is still not known if this game will be released for Android market or not.
