Wii U finally dated, priced for Japan

Nintendo has revealed the official Japanese launch date and the price for the upcoming Nintendo Wii U system. During a presentation hosted by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata today, it was revealed that Nintendo Wii U will launch in Japan on December 8.  The system will be sold in two bundles:

  •  Black 32GB Premium Set (31,500 yen)
  • White 8GB Basic Set (26,250 yen).

Nintendo also revealed some specs of Nintendo Wii U. Nintendo Wii U will feature full 1080p support and will have 2 Gb of ram. The game discs will have 25 GB of storage and 22.5 MB/s read speed.
